PUBLIC NOTICE
Notice is hereby given that at the regularly scheduled public meeting of the Borough Council of New Freedom Borough, York County, Pennsylvania to be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 6:30PM at the New Freedom Borough Municipal Building, 49 East High Street, New Freedom, Pennsylvania the Council will hold a public hearing to receive public comments regarding the proposed Southern York County Regional Comprehensive Plan.
The Comprehensive Plan has been developed collaboratively by Shrewsbury Township, Shrewsbury Borough, Glen Rock Borough, New Freedom Borough, and Railroad Borough through the Southern York County Regional Planning Commission. It outlines a shared vision for land use, housing, transportation, community facilities, natural resources, and intergovernmental cooperation for the region.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Council shall consider adopting and, if appropriate, will take a vote on adoption at the regularly scheduled meeting immediately following the public hearing.
Copies of the proposed plan are available for public review at the New Freedom Borough Office, 49 East High Street, New Freedom, Pennsylvania during regular business hours of Monday-Friday from 7:30AM to 4:00PM and may also be viewed below:
