York County Board of Commissioners established a 30-day county-wide burn ban, superseding any municipal ordinance to the contrary, effective April 16, 2023.
Open burning of ANY TYPE is prohibited.
Residents should be sure to:
- Safely dispose of any charcoal from cooking
- Fully put out cigarettes
- If you see smoke in any wooded area or field – call 911 right away
