Aeration Cascade
To meet the plant’s NPDES discharge requirement for dissolved oxygen level, some form of post aeration is necessary. The beauty of cascade aeration is that it utilizes no moving parts or equipment. Oxygen is simply transferred into the water by the splashing effect of the water flowing down the cascade steps.
