Zoning
Zoning is a device of land use
regulation used by local governments in most developed
countries. This
Zoning Map shows how the Borough is divided into
different zones or types of use. For more
information about permitted and exceptional uses within
each zone, consult the Zoning Ordinances. (Available for
purchase in the Borough Office).

Below is a
listing of permit requirements and a copy of any
relevant forms that need to be filled out.
Construction must conform to the
Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code. Any
questions should be directed to the Borough
Office.

Yard
Sale Permits
are required in the
Borough. "Yard sale" is defined as the sale or
offering for sale of 10 or more new, used or
secondhand items of personal property, not
including home grown agricultural farm products,
at any one residential premises at any one
time. For your convenience permit applications
are available online or at the Borough
Office. Building Permits
are required prior to starting
construction projects. Per Act 45 of 1999
building permits are required by STATE LAW.

Zoning Permits
Projects (such as patios, sheds under 240 sq.
ft., fences, etc.) not covered under state law
may require a Zoning permit. When planning a
project call and verify if a permit will be
required.
Plumbing Permits can only be issued to
plumbers that are licensed by the Borough. To
acquire a certification the applicant must
posses certification from one of the following:
York City and/or Springettsbury Township
and/or
a class I or II Cities as stated in York
City Plumbing Code. To print the license
